February...what happened?
Ms. Heather Crawford
February had a number of significant events. First, we got some new equipment from JICA that will help us in our work. The fisheries steering committee continued its meetings, as did the solid waste seminar group. Our patrol boat, Guardian, was finally repaired and put back to sea.

We also hired a new Outreach Officer! Heather Crawford joined us this month. We look forward to her assistance in the Outreach Department and her work here with the Park!
We got new equipment thanks to JICA!
Photocopier/printer Thanks to a grant from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Montego Bay Marine Park was the proud recipient of new equipment. Some of the items included 3 new computer stations, a photocopier/printer, scuba compressor, fibreglass boat, Mini DV video camera and a digital photo camera. This new equipment will be essential to our upcoming projects in the field. On behalf of the Park, a very heartfelt thank you to JICA!
