This river used to flow in a different direction before it was shifted artificially to its current course. DO NOT swim, drink or otherwise come near the water! It is a waste repository for the entire city. Plans are in the works for cleaning it up. |

| From the airport, take the main highway south onto Howard Cooke Blvd. You will notice a place on the right called The Meeting Place adjacent to a football field. Immediately after these is the Montego River. A sign for the river is visible on the entrances. The picture below shows the river estuary. | |
