This area of our website highlights the activities undertaken by the Trust in its efforts to sensitize visitors and the community as to the ecological and economic importance of the park.
While the site is, in and of itself, an educational medium, the Trust also maintains an active outreach programme. Park pamphlets and brochures can be found throughout Montego Bay businesses and hotels, while our Rangers can be seen patrolling the park, as well as local schools and on fishing beaches.
Because of the number of people who enjoy using the park (and depend on this resource for their livelihoods), our list of constituents is very long. While the Trust makes active use of a variety of media formats, nothing can compete with the personal touch a visit to the Park can provide.

Recording and broadcasting the marine park to you
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a moving picture should be worth even more, right?
Photography and video are extremely powerful tools in educating people about the marine environment. The Montego Bay Marine Park is fortunate to have the equipment necessary for recording and broadcasting the ocean life to those who cannot go themselves.

Teaching the community about the park
The marine park gives presentations to a variety of groups, including schools, fishermen, government agencies and representatives, and any other interested stakeholders.

Informing and involving the wider community
Our rangers patrol the Marine Park, both on the sea and land. You will often find them in schools and on fishing beaches, as well as stakeholder workshops sensitizing the community as to the importance of the park's resources.
If you or your group would like the Trust to participate in an event, we would invite you to contact us directly.
