On Monday, May 10, the Marine Park Trust will hold its Annual General Meeting of Members to discuss the accomplishments of the past year and outline our plans for the year to come.  The meeting will take place at our Pier 1 office, at 4.30 in the afternoon and we urge all of you to come and be part of the discussion.

The most important event of 2009 was declaration of a new Fish Sanctuary in Montego Bay, after ten years of proposals and eight months of intensive lobbying.  This protected area (encompassing most of the eastern portion of the Park), is central to the success of our GROW FISH program.

Anyone can become a member of the Marine Park Trust.  It’s an easy and cheap (just J$1,000) way to show that you care about the health, beauty and prosperity of your community.  For more information about membership, please call the office (952-5619).
